To post an ad click the POST AD tab at the top of the page. Now click on your desired LOCATION. Need help figuring out the right LOCATION for you? Go HERE for a definition of each LOCATION.

Now select a category to post to (ie eBooks Fiction)

Now select a subcategory to post to (ie Thriller)

Now fill in a basic "Title" (ie book title - author name - used/new - price), the "Location" (ie website name or city, state, and country), and a basic description of your item in the main "Post" box.

***Insert a valid link into the http:// box such as; www.yoursite.com. Now click on the INSERT button to the right. The link will appear in your ad. Make sure there is only one http:// in your link.***

Then fill in your email address for those interested in your ad to contact you. This is also where your email verification will be sent so you can activate your ad. So don't use a fake email address!

Choose from one of the three options on how you want your contact information displayed. Choose one option only.

Enter the six digit/letter code displayed. This prevents spam bots from posting fake ads.

You can also upload up to four pictures no larger than 200KB each to help convey your ad. If you need to resize your pictures to meet 200KB or less try this FREE tool: Image Resizer

If you don't mind if someone contacts you with commercial interests then check that box. Otherwise leave it unchecked.

If you would like to receive the Newsletter then check this box.

If you agree to BookBarista's "Terms of Service Use" then check the box. If you don't agree you can't use our services.

If you would like your ad to be a Featured Ad then pick the price -or- if you want your ad to be an Extended Ad then pick the price.

Review your post for misspellings or misrepresentations. Make corrections if needed. Now your ad is ready. Click the "Post Now" button. If you bought a Featured or Extended ad option you will be taken to PayPal where you will pay for the service you picked.

Now go to the email address you are using to post and find the verification email sent to you. Click on the verification link and your ad will be posted automatically. In the past it has taken extra time for the verification email to show up in the inbox. Don't forget to check your spam box for the email in question.

It is strongly advised that you keep your verification email. It also contains links if you wish to edit or delete your ad.

KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER WHEN CREATING AN AD:

- Choose the best location and category that fits your book.

- Don't post an eBook to the Book section and vice-versa.

- Don't create multiple posts for an item (spamming). If you have different links for the same item then  place them in one ad. Same goes for the Book category.

- If your eBook or Book is free then it goes in the "Freebie" category - always.

- When filling out "Title", place a title of a book there. Don't say, "Romance Novels by Jane Doe". This service is for advertising books, not just author sites. AND ADD A PRICE.

- When filling out "Location", use a basic term - Smashwords, www.yoursite.com, or city/state/country. The term should jive with your ad description, where your book is located, and the links you provide.

- Write a basic ad with good grammar. Do you want to sell books or frighten customers?

- Provide a functioning link to where your item is located.

- KEEP IT SIMPLE - correct item, correct location, correct category, correct description, and correct links.

NOTE: If a site user can't post an ad properly, their ad may be deleted so they can re-do it. Sorry, but the site needs to flow with basic information and I can't edit all ads. So please post correctly by following the posting rules outlined:)

To renew an ad (2 steps):

1.) Click on the link within your "renewal ad" email when it arrives. You will be taken to your original ad. Now in the upper right hand corner click on the "Renew Ad" option. Your ad will appear in a white box.

2.) Click on the "Renew Ad" button at the bottom of the page in the blue rectangle. Now your ad has been renewed. 

NOTE: If your renewal email sits in your inbox for more than 5 days your ads may be deleted to free up server space. So renew your ad/s ASAP!
